WAC GROUP Shines at Light + Building

WAC Group made its debut at the storied show, introducing its new specification lighting brand, WAC Architectural, alongside our renowned luxury brand, Schonbek. Through immersive environments and a comprehensive product showcase, the team engaged with designers, specifiers, distributors, and partners from across the global lighting community, highlighting both its technical expertise and forward-looking approach.

With more than four decades of experience, WAC Group continues to evolve its approach to lighting. The international debut of WAC Architectural marks a focused step into specification-grade solutions designed for complex architectural projects.

Built on a foundation of New York design discipline and vertically integrated manufacturing at our family-owned facilities, WAC Architectural delivers lighting that meets real-world demands, balancing performance, precision, and reliability.

The enormous, custom-built booth (spanning over 800 square meters) featured a series of environments that demonstrated lighting in context. Visitors explored applications across retail, gallery, workplace, hospitality, and outdoor settings, each illustrating how lighting shapes experience, guides movement, and enhances architectural intent.

At the heart of the stand, Schonbek unveiled TORNADO, a custom crystal installation that became a focal point of the exhibition. Standing over 3 meters tall and composed of more than 58,000 Radiance® crystals, the installation combined craftsmanship and motion to create a dynamic visual experience.

Schonbek also presented its INSPIRE customization platform, allowing visitors to explore tailored lighting designs through an intuitive digital interface, offering flexibility in form, scale, and materiality.

During the exhibition, the IALD International Lighting Design Awards were held in Frankfurt. The Chongqing Science Hall project, featuring WAC Group lighting solutions, received the 2026 Award of Merit, recognizing its integration of precise lighting with architectural design.

WAC Group brought the energy of New York City to the show floor with a special evening event. Guests gathered to enjoy live music and connect with peers from across the industry, creating a memorable and engaging experience beyond the exhibition.
