Niushoushan is a famous Buddhist mountain with more than 30 temples from the Southern Dynasty to Tang Dynasty. In the Liang Dynasty of the Southern Dynasties, Buddhism was prevalent, as well as the "Four Hundred and Eighty Temples of the Southern Dynasties".
